I dumped the XML with "strings -e b P2P-MS2-lacZ.lif". It doesn't contain nDelayTime_s used to set tsteps, but it does contain a TimeStampList? block for each image. I don't know what the specific time format is--it's a list of 16-byte hex digits. And the number of timestamps doesn't correspond to the plane count e.g. 94 for series 0, where the dimensions are 21*3*2 = 126. i.e. approx 3/4 of the planes. I'm not sure if that has any relationship to the previous behaviour.
