BUG: rendering thumbnail failure does not show default thumbnail

Description
While calling /render_thumbnail/ID/ failed the default pickture is not shown. This is becuase we no longer use webclient.render_thumbnail but directly call webgateway.render_thumbnail. Would be great to modify the core view method to return either default blank file icon defined in settings.DEFAULT_IMG

You may also have a look at Agilo extensions to the ticket.
We still need to override render_thumbnail in webclient as for Carlos having a default image regardless of size will not work and defcb == None means, that the thing will be handled elsewhere, so it has to be detected
