Carlos, in light of http://github.com/openmicroscopy/ome-documentation/pull/455#issuecomment-24067133 do you want me to take this ticket as the umbrella for that work? What about #11424 ? Does that need more specific docs in another location?
Please do take the ticket and task.
The initial documentation on #11424 only covers running tests and should also have something about writing new tests. The same applies to this ticket. In particular the usage of the fixtures created for these tests needs to be explained, as that is one of the powerful features of pytest, and also a great source of confusion.
