Description
If I use the filter in Insight to filter thumbnails by name, then I try selecting thumbnails by range (shift-click) I get 2 images in the Tree hierarchy to be selected for every thumbnail: Both the correct image AND the image at the corresponding index. See screen-shot

I have just been trying to work out the selection / filtering strategy for web, to handle situations when you filter out selected thumbnails.
E.g. If I select a range of 5 thumbnails in center panel, then I apply filtering so that I only have 2 images showing, then I go to Batch Annotate - I'm actually annotating all 5 of them because the selection hasn't changed.
In web, I now un-select any thumbnails that have been filtered out https://github.com/openmicroscopy/openmicroscopy/pull/294
However, when clicking on the tree itself, I DO allow selection of images that are filtered out of the center panel. So, the selection sync is not precisely maintained in this case.
