Bug: Make user save, missed form validation, can no longer save

Web admin - Steps taken

• Choose to create a new user.
• If a mistake is made on entering any details for a required field.
• Once in this the add user form does not create a user.

Note this error does not occur when you create a new group in the web admin.

I have just tried this several times on gretzky, logged in as root/omero, creating users with Surname Test-9152, and I couldn't see a problem. Maybe I wasn't entering exactly the same values or didn't repeat the steps quite right?

• Go to ​http://gretzky.openmicroscopy.org.uk/webadmin/experimenters/
• Add new User
• Enter username only
• Hit Save (does not submit)
• Fill in the remaining required fields of the form, putting user in a single group
• Hit Save
• Returned to the Users page
• NB: ordering the Users by ID to put the most recent user at the top is an easy way to verify that new user has been created.

Did you choose a username that already exists maybe?

Please try repeating with exact steps / fields recorded.

I am logged in as user-6 on gretzky.

• Add new User
• Enter username, password, confirmation, first name, last name.
• No group selected.
• Hit Save (does not submit)
• Fill in the remaining required fields of the form, putting user in a single group
• Hit Save
• Stays in new Users page

I will pass this back to Ola, if you have any problems reproducing please let me know.

Did you miss the password and confirmation fields were cleaned when you first hit Save? You have to enter them again.

If this is the issue, I don't know if this is a feature or a bug?

NB: Ola - I just noticed that when you first view the new User page, the url is webadmin/experimenter/new and after hitting Save (when form invalid) you're now at webadmin/experimenter/create . Don't know if this is intentional or if it really matters?

Thats not a problem of wrong url or any other issues. Is just the fact that submitted data are not valid and error is not displayed.
