Created user should not be placed in default group if another group is chosen

The security system works on the principal that each group is owned by a PI (principal investigator), an admin for that group. However, if a user is in more than one group, s/he can "hide" things from that group admin by placing objects in another group. If a non-"default" group is chosen, then omit the "default" group for a new user.

Default group select box is independent of other groups box. But If
you chose only default group "Group1" and don't chose it on other
group you will add to user "Group1" and nothing more.

Ok. I went back and tried this. I think I just didn't understand how
it works. Seems a little bit unintuitive. Is there a way to make the
group in the "Other groups" box automatically highlighted if the
"Default Group" is set?
