Usability work for N-Dimensional prototype viewer

Description

The prototype viewer needs to be able to consider existing multi-dimensional viewers and what scientists would be expecting from such a solution e.g. in terms of how to move through the dimensions. The review needs to focus on existing image slider layouts in order to help.

Further starting points for this are from last years discussion’s at the Paris meeting with several people there from the communities where the N-Dimensional work is applicable. A specific community to investigate is the SPIM community.

Notes for timeline of development
NDIM discussion

  • basic plan is to start testing/evaluating the XSD as quickly as possible
  • once the ome-xml subversion is merged, then Jean-Marie and Andrew will review the

XML-generation code

  • A simple viewer with the various sliders will be written to read the OME-XML directly
  • Once the XSD is a bit more settled (but quite early) the XSLT will be tested the same way
