Deployment

OMERO.insight is run by a Java Virtual Machine process (JVM version 1.5 or greater) typically on a desktop machine.

A Client machine is connected to a server machine over TCP/IP network link which hosts the OMERO.server. The container's classes connect to the OMERO.server

History

  • All Shoola Java Client up to version 2.4.1 run on the OME Server via OME-JAVA.
  • The 2.5 version requires an OMERO server (version 2) and uses a Hessian interface for remoting.
  • Version 3.0-Beta1 requires JBoss 4.0.4
  • Version 3.0-Beta2, 3.0-Beta2.3, 3.0-Beta3 require JBoss 4.2.1.
  • Version 3.0-Beta3.1 requires JBoss 4.2.3.
