This will allow the "parent" and the linked file to be viewed at the same time, and makes it easier to return to the parent file.

The linked file in a new window will not include tool-bar, editor-pane etc. so users will not be able to edit.

Maybe in future, this window should have an "Edit this file" button, which opens the file in the main window for editing.
