Description
XML annotations as they go through the ome.model infrastructure in Bio-Formats and through OMERO.importer can get corrupted.

Relevant Bio-Formats merges were done in r8653 (bio-formats:r7247) and r8645 (bio-formats:r7242, bio-formats:r7241, bio-formats:r7240).
