Ice 3.4 support (without moving Ice 3.3) support was pushed as PR 31: https://github.com/openmicroscopy/openmicroscopy/pull/31

Note: there was significant difficulty getting our generated Python files to work with the new "updateModules" method in the Ice module. Essentially, imported files ("import omero_ServerErrors_ice") were overwriting modules without this method's being called. Background reading:
