Code Narratives

Over the past several months, I have spent many hours trying to reconstruct the flow of information in Shoola. Having read through various pieces of code multiple times in order to learn - and re-learn - how things work, I thought it might be helpful to get some of this understanding down in textual form.

These code narratives" - as I will call them - lie somehere in between full-blown apidocs and high-level design docs. Like the newbie's guide, the point here is to give developers an entry point that will help them get oriented when tackling various parts of the OME code. If these notes are useful - and, of course, assuming that they are not factually incorrect - we might consider putting them on the website, distributing them with Shoola, or otherwise making them available to the community.

All errors, of course, are my responsibility (or yours, if you choose to contribute, which I hope you do).
