Description

Currently an fs-lite import copies the original files into a directory based on the username. It is possible to add the group to this path through a template. But how should this affect file browsing of the repository area. What happens if an image is moved between groups?

Any discussions around this should be added to this story.

This actually brings up a very good point, Colin, because we will be allow chown as well as chgrp. Do the repositories take care of this? Or do we allow a user to perform a rename()?

See comment added to #8187, probably no need to add group information in the path.

I'm closing as we've had several discussions about this. Largely a matter of having the original files available per object which is #909.
