Set up some way of mapping plane indices to file names

Description (last modified by mlinkert)

It can be useful to know from which file a plane was read. Currently, there is no real way to know this, unless the original dataset was comprised of OME-TIFFs, or there is only one file in the dataset.

Two possible solutions:

  1. Automatically populate TiffData? elements with the correct file names for each plane. This is a slight abuse of the schema, but makes it quite easy to match up planes with files.
  2. Add new API methods "String getUsedFile(int plane)" and "int getUsedFilePlane(int plane)".

  • Cc jamoore added
  • Keywords model api added
  • Owner mlinkert deleted
  • Version set to OMERO-5.2.0

Expanding CC in case this is relevant for IDR etc. A less invasive way to do this would be to add plane numbers to loci.formats.FileInfo?, so no new API is needed in IFormatReader.
