Description

Would be good if rendering would accept full region of an image plan to render and scaling parameters. This will fix #6100

New webgateway URLs are documented:

The webgateway and webclient URLs adhere to the following patterns:

  • /webgateway/render_birds_eye_view/<image_id>/<size>
  • /webclient/render_birds_eye_view/<image_id>/<share_id>
  • /webclient/render_birds_eye_view/size/<size>/<image_id>/<share_id>

Where <share_id> is always optional and <size> is the maximum size of the longest resultant size of the image and is optional for webgateway URLs but not optional for webclient URLs.

Currently image rendering on fly is generated by webgateway._get_prepared_image(request, iid, server_id=server_id, _conn=_conn, with_session=USE_SESSION). This could be possibly used in the context of rendering bird-eye view on fly as well. This approach could finalise changes to #6100.
