Milestone OMERO-Beta4
OMERO-Beta4 is the our next major release. Our goal in Beta4 is to deliver a fully-functional application that delivers a broad range of server and client features. As in our Beta2.x and Beta 3.x series, we will move through a series of Beta4.x steps, which will deliver major functionality additions.
- File formats
- STK, LIF, ND2 support : document what's supported and produce valid XML
- Server Features:
- Reduction of default permissions to private
- API for external client (such as matlab) to get metadata/images in/out
- Server-side DropBox? import based on OmeroFs
- full support for OME Data Model; Expanded metadata support
- Performance improvements for large imports (OmeroThrottling)
- Annotation service including description and mutability support
- Delete service
- Version service for detecting client/server mismatches (#220)
- Client features
- All clients migrated to OmeroBlitz
- Release of new browser-based client, OmeroWeb
- Delete Functionality
- Expanded metadata support; fuller acquisition metadata facilities
- Integration of OMERO.editor facilities in to OMERO.insight
- addition of wiki editing for text annotations, with OMERO wiki words.
- Delete of images
- ImageJ plugin for OMERO
- Cleanup and refactoring
- Metadata testing framework with test data synchronization over many formats
- Rendering setting fixes
- Removal of all JBoss
- Removal of results.xml
- Removal of Category Groups & Categories
