Write documentation on which files can be picked in each format

It would be helpful if we had a document that listed what a user needs to know about each format, in particular which file(s) should be selected for import.

We could also include a brief description of the expected file structure of multi-file formats, e.g. Leica LEI datasets are expected to have one .lei file and one or more .tiff files in the same directory.
